Research News from the Ag Research Division

The Agricultural Research Division is the major research agency of the University of Nebraska's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and is Nebraska's Agricultural Experiment Station. ARD scientists improve the quality of life for Nebraskans across the state. They make important contributions to the state's agriculture, food industries, environment, the well-being of families, and community development. ARD scientists provide new knowledge and seek answers to Nebraskans' problems and concerns.

The first system of its kind in the United States, the University of Nebraska offers three unique plant phenotyping platforms on a one acre field phenotyping site at ENREEC....the site features an automated cable suspended carrier system that holds multiple cameras and sensors for positioning over plots.

UNL is completing multiple research projects that benefit the world around us. Research conducted by the Animal Science Department contributes to the biggest industry in Nebraska, cattle production.
