The University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center (ENREEC) is headquartered near Mead, Nebraska. ENREEC was formerly the University of Nebraska's Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead, Nebraska.  ENREEC follows a model of collaboration that specifically addresses the needs of eastern Nebraska in terms of research and Extension efforts by new collaborations and leveraging strengths of existing resources and closer ties to IANR departments and schools.

The Checking N series provides weekly insights on tools, methods and impact found through University of Nebraska nitrogen management research. The Klosterman Feedlot Innovation Center at the University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center near Mead, Nebraska will provide new capacity to develop and evaluate emerging technology used in managing animals in feedlot settings. Featuring the latest innovations, a commercial-scale feedlot and an animal handling facility will be used in teaching, research and extension efforts by the University of Nebraska Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Learn more and get the latest updates.

The University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center encompasses 53 counties and includes a wide array of research projects and educational programs. 

Extension programs focus on Livestock Systems, Early Childhood, Horticulture, Landscape, and Environmental Systems, Community Vitality Initiative, Cropping and Water Systems, Food, Nutrition and Health, and 4-H Youth Development.  Learn more about these programs in the menu bar on this site.
